Fuzzy Photoshoot

Ever since I opened my Etsy shop last month, I haven't been entirely happy with the look of my product photos. I often hear from people that the photos of my Fuzzies just don't do them justice. Well, that's fine, but I don't have a little birdie sitting on potential buyer's shoulders saying, "No, really - they look SO much better in person!".

Plus, (and I knew this going into the whole Etsy scene), there is a LOT of competition out there. How do I get my products seen amongst the other thousands millions of products? I figured a good place to start would be the product photos. If the photos are killer, then people will at least stop to take a look.

Now, I'm no photographer. But I figured I am creative, so I could maybe come up with a fun "set" for my Fuzzies. I like the idea of different colored backgrounds, but of course, I don't want them to be detracting. And perhaps some props?

This is my first attempt:

I like it a lot, but it still looks a little grey to me. The Fuzzy does still jump off the background nicely, but I'm not sure about the color of the backdrop.

What are your thoughts? I'd love to bounce this off of someone, but unfortunately the kiddo, the dog and the cat aren't saying much.

Thanks, yo!
